Aiming to steer away from the soft, airy and showered in natural light looks, I wanted to create a shoot that embraced the “harsh” natural sunlight we often try and steer clear from. I wanted to embrace the contrast of the dark shadows and incorporate this with soft linens and dark moody paired back blooms to create a monochrome tablescape highlighting that we don’t always need colour for an epic wedding set up. The location for our shoot was a local yoga studio, tucked away in an urban laneway in our cities CBD. Concrete floors, white painted brick walls and black overhead beams created the perfect space for us to create a moody soiree with an abundance of candles and soft flowing layered linens. I called upon some incredible vendors to bring this vision to life. Featured in Issue 31 of Hello May Magazine.
